Not to miss for 2010!

ASPCA Crime Scene Investigation Unit
2010 has seen the ASPCA take the fight against animal cruelty on the road like never before. The ASPCA has directed resources and expertise to the very door step of those who would be cruel to animals. Responses have included cases of animal fighting, hoarding, aggravated cruelty, severe neglect and puppy mills. To more effectively process evidence and conduct forensic analysis, the ASPCA unveiled our second Crime Scene Investigation Unit in July of this year. This 28 foot vehicle is designed to allow ASPCA forensic specialists, like Dr. Melinda Merck, to take their expertise right to the very scene where crimes occur, thus allowing for stronger support in the prosecution of animal cruelty cases.
The ASPCA Crime Scene Investigation Unit is a custom designed - state of the art vehicle with two complete medical exam stations. This allows the unit the capability of documenting live animal evidence while simultaneously treating injury and illness. The unit is equipped and stocked with a range of evidence collection equipment, medical supplies, diagnostic tools and handling gear. This allows the unit to respond to any case at any time.
